cvo commuter challenge...wow, cornbread has a purdy mouth...

ya know,
I was wondering why cornbread didn't put up the " cornbread commuter challenge" this year?
last night, while drunk, I started to think, hey, I should just put up a cvo commuter challenge,
yeah, that's the ticket,
but now,
while of course, drunk again. I've had a day to think about it, and I don't think a challenge is needed any more.
gas is what, 3.80 for you.
I asked my guests tonight, so, what are you guys paying per gallon now in your respective home towns?
4.25 was the cheepest I heard outa 10 folks from around the country..
ouch.
yeah, I don't think anyone out there needs to be challenged into riding their bike to work anymore.... at least nobody reading this does.
I'll just bet a beer at yia yia's that the price of gas has effected each and every one of you...
ok, well maybe not Donk. he's the only one I know who's offically carless, oh and Vomitron... sorry dude, but then again I'm ok, I don't think Vomitron reads this... but I could be wrong. there may be a few other readers out there who are carless or who arn't effected, well, I just don't know you well enough to know your vehicle sitch...

<< home | post a commenthey now you live at work
something is fishy here
Although I am in full support of another CCC (see cuz CVO starts with a "C")
Although I bet it would be better for you CVO to wire the $ instead of fly here to buy it in person ;)
Or you can just buy a keg when you get back (double winky)
yeah, I know,
I will deffinatly be buying at least a round of beers somewhere when I get back..
but probably not a keg, but hey, ya never know,
if shortstop is all the sudden like, hey, I'm going outa town for a week, can you watch the house, HELL YEAH, I'm gonna throw a kegger...
( shhh JB )
I mean, yeah, we'll have beers together,
I gotta go.
Even the car-less are effected by the increased costs that get rolled-into the products & services we buy. Finding someone who's not effected would be pretty difficult.
how about we all ride our bikes to work and not brag about how far you go or if you rode in the rain or not.
just ride, who cares...
Wow, I look...happy.
Yay! Weeee! Best ride EVA!
Anyways, I'm down with another commuter challenge this year. I didn't post anything cuz I'm lazy. So CVO, you're in charge cuz you posted about it. :)
It'd be interesting to see how much we can save on gas and carbon footprint, as well as calories burned, and total mileage throughout the summer. It'd also be sweet to see how many new commuters we can rope into the challenge. The more the merrier. The net result is less money going to the investors who are capitalizing on oil commodities.
we need a new bike rack at work. It used to be all mine, but this morning there were 9 bikes on the rack and I had to squeeze the bike in to get it locked up.
Rules from last year
After reviewing the rules, hell, I'd do it unless my job (which requires me to drive to Eppley, get on a plane, then drive several hundred miles around wherever I am) counts as sort of a DQ
I've been riding or walking to work for over 3 weeks now... I did have to drive once for my kids dentist appointment and once for a haircut, but the rest of the time my Pathfinder has been sleeping in the garage. $4 a gallon was my breaking point.
I'm in for the honor system.
